Company Founder Jonathan Siegel To Head London Office as Company Expands Its Enterprise Sales Program

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (September 10, 2007) – ELC Technologies, a consulting firm with the largest global team of dedicated Ruby on Rails developers specializing in enterprise application development, today announced the appointment of Lex Sisney as CEO of the company. Sisney will replace Jonathan Siegel, founder of ELC Technologies, who assumes responsibility for managing the global sales team as well as customer relations in the newly created role of Vice President Sales, and President, United Kingdom.

Sisney has been consulting for ELC Technologies for the past 18 months. Sisney has extensive experience in building successful high-technology companies. In recent years, Sisney has operated his own executive consulting firm, assisting technology start-ups and Fortune 100 companies with strategy, execution, and leadership development. Before becoming a consultant, Sisney was co-founder of Commission Junction, the world’s largest affiliate marketing provider. Sisney holds a degree in Marketing Management from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minn.

“We are delighted to have Lex take the helm of ELC Technologies,” said company founder Jonathan Siegel. “After working with him for nearly two years to shape our business model and refine our growth strategy, I am confident that Lex has the expertise to lead ELC as we carve out a unique leadership niche in the enterprise developer market. Thanks partly to his guidance, we already have had a number of successful Ruby on Rails development projects with Fortune 500 companies. Now we are poised to market that same enterprise expertise to the Global 2000 with the addition of our European operation.”

Siegel will be one of the keynote speakers at next week’s RailsConf Europe conference in Berlin. He will be delivering a presentation entitled on “Beyond Startups: Rails Demand in the Global 2000.” The keynote will highlight the rapidly growing acceptance of the Ruby on Rails open web development framework for enterprise applications, and offer strategies for Rails developers to commercialize their development efforts.

“The European market is ready to embrace Ruby on Rails technology for business-critical applications,” said Sisney. “ELC Technologies already has assumed a leadership role in North America, where we are known for delivering robust applications quickly into the marketplace for enterprise and Web 2.0 clients. Now the company is ready to market its expertise on an international scale, and I am honored to have been chosen as CEO to help take ELC global.”
